South Square Gallery turned 40 years old in 2022. To celebrate the landmark milestone, South Square and Unit 9 proudly presented its largest ever salon exhibition. It featured over 150 artworks from artists spanning over four decades worth of exhibitions.
The retrospective featured; sculpture, audio pieces, film installations, painting, photography and more throughout four galleries in a full centre takeover, showing artists from Bradford and beyond.
Collectors, curators and artists throughout the centre’s rich history contributed generously to make the mega show unmissable. Special acknowledgements went out to past curators and artists that were no longer with us.
Special Thanks went out to Dean Clough Mill who kindly loaned some of their archive collection to the exhibition.
The covering press included The Yorkshire Post, Bradford Telegraph and Argus, BCB Radio and Radio Leeds.
