Soul Girls Art Trail

Experience an outdoor trail of artwork created by young people in Allerton exploring themes of heritage and identity. The artworks include a mosaic made from Lego, friendship garlands, heritage photographs, a painted mural, a Barbara Hepworth-inspired sculpture made from recycled materials and they’ve even planted a living willow sculpture!

Soul Girls worked with a variety of artists and artforms to develop the trail as a way to use art to brighten up the local area.

You can learn more about the project and their art trail here

Join us at the art trail launch at Cafe West Saturday 19th July 2025 1.30pm to 4.30pm. A trail map designed by the Soul Girls will be available to download from 18th July.

The Soul Girls are a group run by Rooted In who meet every week in Allerton. Find out more about Soul Girls and Rooted In here

The project was led by South Square and supported by Rooted In and Kala Sangam. This arts and heritage project has been made possible thanks to funding from Arts Council, DCMS Cultural Development Fund and the National Lottery Heritage Fund and The Brelms Trust
