Join us for a collage making session to celebrate World Collage Day
People of all ages and experience are invited to work with renowned artists Jean McEwan and Catherine Cartwright to create their own collages at this online event.
The workshop is free and you can book through Eventbrite here. Once you have booked your place you will be sent a link for the session on Zoom.
The prompt for the session will be images from the Thornton Antiquarian Archive. Participants are welcome to use these and any other kinds of image or materials.
A limited number of collage packs will be available to pick up from South Square Centre for local residents.

Unwanted photos, cards, postcards
Coloured paper, card
Anything else which can be stuck down…wrappers, thread, material….
Scissors, glue stick
A3 size paper (can also be collected from Plenty at South Square, but A4 size will do)
Jean has vast experience in working with groups and communities to facilitate people’s creative thinking. She uses a variety of methods in her practice and is particularly skilled in making collages and zines
Catherine is a multi-disciplinary artist, working primarily with book art, printmaking, drawing and film. Her work is rooted in participation and collaboration.
