Join our amazing new studio holders Annie Fforde and Janine Denby, for this Spring coloured Monotype drawing and wipe out workshop, inspired by nature and natural forms found in the landscape.
A very lovely painterly expressive method
This workshop is suitable for beginners and those who have some printmaking experience.
You will be encouraged to work from your sketch books or your own original ideas where possible, taking an abstract or realistic approach to the subject matter.
We will be using water based coloured inks and focus on some elementary colour theory.
We will print a base colour and then draw with another complementary colour, resulting in two or three different coloured monotypes.
All materials will be provided by the tutor.
Participants , can bring sketches or images to work from and Aprons if you have any.

South Square is a collection of 19th Century workers cottages, in the old Yorkshire village of Thornton, famous for its Brontë connections and its impressive 20-arch viaduct.
Renovated as a community arts centre in 1982, South Square Centre is now home to ten studio spaces for a variety of artists, as well as a gallery, community spaces, archive, fine art framers, bar and a cafe.
The centre hosts community events and activities for all ages, including an ongoing workshop programme and provides community spaces available to hire.
