About the Talk

Join Domino Panton-Oakley, the Programme and Gallery Manager of South Square, for a tour of Sowing Connections, a co-created community exhibition celebrating the work of the Rasi // Twine Women’s ESOL Group in Bradford.

You’ll explore the exhibition, learn more about the artworks and hear from Domino about how this special show was curated.

This is an event which is part of the National Lottery Open Week. To say thank you for the £32 million raised for Good Causes every week by players, National Lottery funded venues are offering free entry, discounts and special offers throughout National Lottery Open Week. This, plus 10% off anything in the gallery shop, is our offering to you!

About the exhibition

‘Sowing Connections’ is a collaborative exhibition with the ESOL group. The group brings together South Asian women seeking confidence, connection, and creative community. Through 2025 the group worked with local artists Claire Wellesley-Smith and Razwan Ul-Haq, exploring textiles, paintings and photography. The exhibition celebrates their skills, stories, their heritage, traditions and identity.

Thanks to our partners Lower Grange Community Centre and Bradford Arts Centre, and our funders DCMS Cultural Development Fund and the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
