TAKE PART IN WINTER WINDOWS 2023! Deadline for inclusion in the map is FRIDAY 10th NOVEMBER

We are so excited for our 5th Edition of Thornton Winter Windows! 

This year Thornton Winter Windows will be part of BDisLit, where the village windows will be lit up using the theme set by artist Rosie McAndrew

Rosie has set the theme to be ‘Apricity – the warmth of a beam of sunlight in Winter.’  Creating a contrast of warmth and cold.

You will create a window scene using this theme that can be displayed from 26th November until Christmas. All ages welcome

Need ideas and inspiration? Join us in our FREE Winter Windows workshop led by Rosie on Saturday 28th October 10 am – 4 pm where she will help create decorations and give ideas for your windows! The workshop will be drop in throughout the day. Suitable for all ages

Launch – Sunday 26th November, Members of the public will be able to pick up a trail map from South Square Centre and view the village’s festive creations including 3 window installations designed by Rosie.

Launch day will also be a day of festivities including our Makers Market, Thornton Lights switch on plus live music, mulled wine and hot chocolate at South Square! Free mulled wine or hot chocolate for participants!
