Event Details

Could you be the next Maggot King? Join us this half term to make your very own gory grubs! Learn about Arthur Bryant and his Maggotorium Sanatorium in our Remedy and Resilience Exhibition.

Demonstration and Workshop will be led by Bradford College Makeup and SFX BA Students Leon and Gigi.

This exciting 2 hour Workshop is free to attend. Suitable for ages 12+. Places are limited, so book now to avoid disappointment.

The centre can be accessed easily via public transport from Bradford City Centre. There is on street parking available near to the centre. Due to the unique nature of our heritage building the centre has limited accessibility for wheelchair users. Most community spaces including the café and gallery spaces are accessible. Please ring ahead for more information.

South Square is a collection of 19th Century workers cottages, in the old Yorkshire village of Thornton, famous for its Brontë connections and its impressive 20-arch viaduct.

Renovated as a community arts centre in 1982, South Square Centre is now home to ten studio spaces for a variety of artists, as well as a gallery, community spaces, archive, fine art framers, bar and a cafe.

The centre hosts community events and activities for all ages, including an ongoing workshop programme and provides community spaces available to hire.
