Japanese Embroidery

Enthusiastic amateur, Sue Hayes, is inviting those of you similarly intrigued to join her in an afternoon of coffee, cake and Japanese embroidery. You will explore the forms of Boro (mending) and Sashiko (enhancing) both of which are deeply rooted within the philosophy of Wabi Sabi which celebrates the aging process.

Due to the unique nature of our heritage building the centre has limited accessibility for wheelchairs users. Most community spaces including the café and gallery spaces are accessible. Please ring ahead for more information.
