An event filled with mindful workshops, taster sessions and community belonging. Join us as we present techniques to rebalance the mind, body and soul. Everyone is welcome.

  • Dust off your vinyl and play laid back tunes in the Brontë Garden.
  • Build a miniature terrarium to take home.
  • Bathe yourself in sound-waves for a deeply soothing experience.
  • Let children express themselves through dance.
  • Try Yoga Nidra, a guided meditation otherwise known as ‘Yogic Sleep’.

Lacto Fermentation Workshop 6 – 9pm

Join Plenty at the Square in the café as they explore the ancient art of fermentation.  This relaxed and popular evening event will teach you the processes of making sauekraut and kimchi which you can take home.

Early Morning Yoga

Start the day of well with South Square’s resident practitioner Nicola Stephenson.

Take time to recentre yourself through breathing techniques and easy to follow movements. Yoga helps calm a busy mind, reduces stress, increases alertness and boosts immunity.

Suitable for beginners. Please bring your own Yoga mat.

Yoga Nidra Meditation

Tickets £3 / £5

Nicola Stephenson will guide your through 45 minutes of pure relaxation. Otherwise known as ‘Yogic Sleep’ this session will be practiced lying down. Follow her voice as she guides you through a deep body scan, or ‘rotation of consciousness’, and a guided meditation, leaving you with a blissful sense of restfulness.   

Suitable for beginners. Please bring something to lay on, a pillow for comfort, plus an extra blanket to cocoon yourself with. Bring an eye mask for maximum relaxation.

Express Yourself Through Dance: 4 – 11year olds

Mental Health and Well Being Educator, Esther Osakwe, will lead this unique workshop for children.  Esther will use movement and dance to create avenues to deal with, and express emotions.  Children will experience movement range, learn a dance routine and then have space to reflect the session by means of drawing or writing as part of the session.

Rural Relaxation South Bath

A Sound Bath is a meditative experience during which attendees are “bathed” in a variety of sound waves. It is deeply soothing and relaxing.

Judy, from Rural Relaxation, will use a variety of percussion instruments: Tibetan singing bowls, tongue drum, ocean drum, tingsha bells, temple bell, Koshi chimes, triangle, shakers, chime bar and gong to ease you into a feeling of rejuvenation and deepened relaxation.

Suitable for beginners. Please bring your own mat and a blanket to cocoon yourself with.

Bring Your Own Vinyl Afternoon

3 – 6pm – FREE

DJ Dom Sheard, from the alternative pop party collective ‘No Hands’ will help you play your music alfresco in the gorgeous Brontë Garden.  Dust off your revered LP collection and come and listen to your playlist outside under the gazebo. Soak in the beautiful Pinch Beck Valley vistas whilst visitors to the centre listen on.  Please bring mellow tempos and laid back funk for a cool café vibe.

Make a Miniature Terrarium

2 – 3.30pm – FREE

Join Ursula from Plant One On Me as she shows you how to build your own mini glasshouse.  You will be given the opportunity to chat about the history, art and mindfulness of terrarium building. This free drop-in session will include all materials and tools to make your very own beautiful terrarium bowl to take away.

Serene Stems by Fae

2 – 4pm – FREE

Get creative, relax & have fun. Artist Fae Suleman will show you simple brushstrokes to create your very own floral painting. Using eye-catching techniques and inspiration from a still life display, daydream away as you dive into a tropical vibes and palm tree motifs. Suitable for beginners.
