Explore exciting ways to use gelliplates!

Come play and experiment at South Square in this well-paced one-day monoprinting workshop.

We will create one-off prints using foraged vegetation from Thornton, gelliplates and acrylic paints. Each print created is completely individual; it captures the unique moment creating an image, caught in time.

This workshop is suitable for all levels of experience; some will have no experience of either monoprinting or gelliplates and others will have done it before. No matter what level of skill or experience you have, you will be supported throughout the workshop by artist Bev Morton.

You will leave the day with a wide range of prints to take home, these can be stand-alone pieces, framed or made into cards.

If you have your own gelliplate, please feel free to it bring along.

Location and access:

The workshop is being held in the upstairs community room at South Square Centre, Thornton Road, BD13 3LS

The centre can be accessed easily via public transport. There is free on street parking around the centre. There is an on-site vegetarian café, Plenty, where refreshments and lunch can be purchased.

Bev Morton is a mixed-media artist who lives in Thornton. She is a member of Unit 9 and a studio holder at South Square. This workshop is part of her exhibition, titled ‘In Transition’ which includes monoprints and paintings, using layer upon layer of colour, mark-making and textures.
