Delve deeper into our current exhibition Outside the Square which explores the Jacquard weaving process from design through to final fabric. We’ll spend some time chatting to friends of South Square who have previously worked in roles across the textile industry including artworkers who painted textile point papers, which are displayed in the current exhibition. Richard Smith, who worked for family firm E&S Smith will talk about the The Point Paper Art Company which he has put together drawing on the companies archive and point papers collected from across Europe.
