South Square Centre is pleased to welcome back Madalitso from Malawi for a special matinee event. Madalitso played in Plenty at the Square’s back in the summer of 2019 for a fabulous night of fun, dancing and courtyard hangouts. This July, everyone is invited to help us make a full afternoon of it.
Madalitso duo sing and play a home-made one-string slide bass, known as a babatone, four string guitar and cowskin footdrum. Neil Nayar, a UK singer songwriter, who relocated to Malawi in 2021, will also treat us to catchy, comical lyrics and soulful melodies.
Bring your sun glasses, colourful t-shirts and tropical vibes! There will be summer drinks and vegetarian snacks available to purchase.
