Artist Sarah Lyte (Seven Hands) is joining us at the centre for an autumnal wet felting workshop, taking inspiration from the changing of seasons over the Thornton farmlands to create beautiful felted scenes.

Sarah will guide you in choosing your colours, and layering your wool fibres to create a textured autumnal landscape scene. You will learn a variety of techniques and how to blend a variety of colours and textures, taking the lovely views from the centre as inspiration.

Sarah is an up-cycling mixed media fibre artist living and working in Yorkshire. She combines needle felting, wet felting, waste material, up-cycled scraps and recycled fibres to create unique landscapes full of colour, texture and light. Her landscapes show the deep connection she has for Yorkshire and the environment.

No previous experience is necessary. All materials are provided.

The workshop will be 3 hours long, including a break for lunch. Food and refreshments are available on site from our cafe, Plenty at the Square.
