Studio Vacancies (Unit 14)

South Square are seeking an Arts & Heritage Officer as part of a 2-year project partnering with Kala Sangam alongside 2 other cultural hubs; Rockwell Centre and Keighley Creative.

We are looking for FOUR outstanding candidates to join an exciting 2-year Arts & Heritage community project, across four key Hub sites within Bradford District.

Employed by Kala Sangam, an Arts & Heritage Officer will be based at each of the following Hubs:

• Kala Sangam (Bradford City Centre – BD1 1RD & BD1 4TY)
• Keighley Creative (Keighley Town Centre – BD21 3PF)
• The Rockwell Centre (Thorpe Edge – BD10 8DP)
• South Square Centre (Thornton – BD13 3LD)

Devising, implementing and delivering the activity for a 2-year project, you will have a strong track record for engagement with diverse communities and a passion for using creativity to make a difference to people’s lives.

Experience working with communities is essential, ideally in Bradford or somewhere with similar demographics, but you don’t need to have worked for an arts organisation before. You will have a proven track record in project management, excellent organisation and communications skills, and be skilled at building relationships at all levels – with community organisations, volunteers, local authorities, project partners, senior stakeholders, collaborators and supporters.

Each Hub site will work with communities/groups specific to them, full details are provided below. Each Hub will interview separately for their Arts & Heritage Officer, and therefore we encourage applicants to apply for all Hubs they are interested in working at. Please indicate on the application form which Hub(s) you would be interest in working for.

Each Officer role will be tied to, and appointed to, only a single Hub. While you may apply to more than one role, each successful candidate will only be appointed to a single role at a single Hub. Please be advised that if you want to be considered at more than one Hub, this will entail multiple and separate interviews, as there will be a different interview panel at each Hub site.

Kala Sangam is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation, or age.

These posts will involve flexible working patterns and may include evenings and weekend working.

Deadline:           Friday 2nd February 2024 at 10am
Interviews:        Week commencing: 12th February 2024 (please note that if you secure an interview you will be provided with interview questions in advance)
Start date:         Monday 4th March 2024, subject to notice periods
