In March 2020, South Square Centre received the news that we were successful with our application to National Lottery Heritage Fund to undertake a capital refurbishment of Grade II workers cottages as well as a three year programme of heritage activities. Thanks to money raised by National Lottery players there will be an exciting activity programme of events, traineeships, workshops and exhibitions.
The heritage programme includes opportunities for volunteers, traineeships, and projects with local schools and care homes.

South Square Centre has gained vital capital funding to complete renovations of the building which includes a new roof, insulation, pointing and repairs to 99 sash windows. Alongside this sits a three-year programme of activities, workshops and creative projects inspired by local heritage.
