My Next Chapter
Tuesday 26th September 2017, 10-5pm
South Square Centre, Thornton Road

Free training opportunity for unemployed creative or socially orientated people.

My Next Chapter is a personal and professional development programme helping people think about and plan for what’s next. Through the programme being run at the South Square Centre, we are creating space for unemployed creatively and socially orientated people to ask themselves some hard questions about the work they want to do in the future. The opportunities to think critically about the choices we make about work are so very rare and hugely important with the potential to impact for years to come. So, My Next Chapter at South Square is a invaluable opportunity. You will spend the day from 10am – 5pm working with peers in a similar position to yourself, you will be expertly guided by coach and facilitator Bev Morton, working through a series of exercises working individually, in pairs and small groups. Throughout the day we will be focussing on a number of core questions:

• Where are you now?
• Where have you been?
• Where are you going and why?
• What’s important in your next work chapter? What does good enough look like?

We will be working in a safe, fun and engaging way providing not only an environment where people are able to be open and challenge and listen to each other, but also one where there is fun and laughter in the room. It’s absolutely not for the feint hearted though, so you have to be prepared to work hard and step outside your comfort zone. The benefits are there for those who choose to participant and act on them.

Criteria for participants:

As this is a unique opportunity whose success depends on who we have in the room, we have created some selection criteria to us up choose the right people for the group. This isn’t a test in the standard way of thinking, be truthful and honest and give us a sense of who you really are; that’s what we are looking for.

• Participants need to be people who are creative and/or socially orientated and can evidence this.
• People who are ready & prepared to step outside of their comfort zone.
